A warehouse maintenance review should begin with the building areas the site team is authorised and safe to access. Its purpose is to record visible concerns and route them to the right person—not to certify machinery, electrical systems, fire protection, racking, structural elements or workplace compliance.
Walk the site in consistent zones
Use a simple route that suits the property: offices and reception; staff rooms and ablutions; storage and circulation areas; loading and access points; then external areas. Record each observation against a specific zone so repeat issues can be compared. Respect operating procedures, vehicle routes, restricted areas and site safety rules.
Building and shared areas
Note visible damage to doors, locks, hinges, walls, ceilings, finishes, windows and fittings. Record water marks or recurring damp concerns without assuming the source. In staff and office areas, include damaged furniture, worn upholstery and cleaning needs. In ablutions, note visible leaks, damaged fittings, loose tiles or deteriorated sealant for appropriate review.
External access
From a safe, authorised position, note visible damage to gates, doors, paving, drainage routes, signs and access areas. Do not climb, enter roof spaces, open electrical enclosures or inspect machinery unless the person doing so is authorised and qualified.
Turn observations into a useful work list
For every item, capture the location, a plain-language description, when noticed, operational effect, a safe photo if useful, and the internal contact responsible for next steps. Separate routine repairs from urgent hazards and specialist assessments. A visual checklist cannot set engineering priorities or replace a statutory inspection.
Plan the next step
Windhoek warehouse and workshop operators can send a grouped repair list or ask Bliss to review a paid visual Property Health Check for agreed areas. The assessment can include a photographic condition baseline, priority matrix, Digital Job Cards and execution plan. Its fee, scope and timing are confirmed first; execution is separately quoted and requires client approval and suitable provider availability.
